Beacon Theatrical Services is committed to helping end all forms of racism in this country.  As a company, our first step is to listen and then learn about experiences, that are not our own, to gain a better understanding of our place in the world and it's effect on society. Beacon will be on the front lines of dismantling longstanding, systemic norms that have kept Black and Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC), Asian-American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) and other underrepresented persons and groups away from roles not only on stage - but off stage as well. We are committed to making space for all people as Production Managers, Technical Designers and Supervisors, Draftspeople and other positions behind the scenes that have been historically, overwhelmingly white. Our mission to promote equity and inclusion starts at home: we are committed to hiring and maintaining a workforce that is at least 50% BIPOC, AAPI and other underrepresented groups. We believe in a workplace free of racism and harassment of any kind and will divest our relationships with racist companies and creators who seek to maintain the status quo.

We also will seek promote training programs and paid entry-level job positions for those who wish to begin a career in production, but may not chose the path of a conservatory degree.  Everyone deserves a chance to be successful regardless of their financial upbringing or educational background.

We know this won't be easy, and that we have a lot to learn, and that we will make mistakes - but we believe society is better if we treat everyone with love, understanding and respect.  We see you, we hear you and we look forward to working with you!

Sincerely,
Jameson Croasdale,
